Our bacon is dry-rubbed with salt, sugar, and pepper. The slow curing allows the mixture to absorb into the slab. Next, the country bacon goes to a smokehouse where it is naturally smoked with applewood. The smoke produces a golden brown finish. The result is a mellow flavor, with a nice balance of spice, applewood smoke, and sweetness. No water is added so it won't shrink like those other bacons you may have tried. This bacon is sliced 1/8 inch thick.

**All meat items and meat gift sets ship separately Monday through Wednesday via UPS and may arrive on a different day than the rest of your order. Bacon and Spiral Ham should be refrigerated immediately. Country Ham Slices and Pieces are USDA-approved shelf-stable products, good out of refrigeration for up to 7 days. Orders generally ship the business day after they are placed (M-W). Additional processing days will occur in November and December. We do not ship our meat items or meat gift sets internationally. The shipping charge for all meat items and meat gift sets is $15.00 per meat set.**

Cooking Instructions:

To Pan Fry: Place bacon slices in a cold skillet. Cook slowly over heat and turn until slightly crisp, draining excess drippings as required. Remove each slice as it browns and drain on paper towels.

To Microwave: Place bacon strips between paper towels. Cook 4 slices on high setting for 3 minutes. Then cook at 30 seconds intervals until desired crispness. Microwave temperatures and personal preferences vary.

To Bake: Place bacon strips on a baking sheet (that has sides to contain drippings) and place in the center rack of a cold oven. Turn oven on to 400° F and check bacon in 15 minutes. Remove as soon as bacon is golden brown, but not excessively crisp. Cooking times can vary depending on how quickly oven reaches temperature. You will notice when cooking Loveless Cafe bacon that it does not shrink as much as typical grocery store bacon. This is due to the old-fashioned dry curing method used with Loveless Cafe Bacon.

PLEASE NOTE: Flavored bacons are best cooked using the oven method.
