Our country smoked bacon is dry-cured with salt and sugar, hit with a touch of applewood smoke and mighty tasty! No water is added so it won't shrink like those other bacons you may have tried. The dry cure method means that this bacon is safe out of refrigeration for up to 90 days, so it's safe to ship virtually anywhere!

Cooking Instructions:

To Pan Fry:

Place bacon slices in a cold skillet. Cook slowly over heat and turn until slightly crisp, draining excess drippings as required. Remove each slice as it browns and drain on paper towels.

To Microwave:

Arrange slices of bacon on a paper towel, cover with another paper towel, place on a microwave safe plate and microwave for approximately one minute per slice. Cooking times vary depending on microwave, so test this method to get best results.

To Bake:

Place bacon strips on a baking sheet (that has sides to contain drippings) and place in the center rack of a cold oven. Turn oven on to 400° F and check bacon in 15 minutes. Remove as soon as bacon is golden brown, but not excessively crisp. Cooking times can vary depending on how quickly oven reaches temperature. You will notice when cooking Loveless Cafe bacon that it does not shrink as much as typical grocery store bacon. This is due to the old-fashioned dry curing method used with Loveless Cafe Bacon.

Untested at home, I hauled this bacon 8,000 miles to a bacon-free zone in North Africa as a treat for my co-workers. I loved that it can travel without refridgeration. My co-workers are still raving about it. Didn't shrink at all when cooked leaving you with a substantial strip for consumption. Really very nice. I'll be buying more on a recurring basis. Thank you

Fantastic bacon to eat, but even better in Clam Chowder. I've been using the smoked cured bacon for four years in my Clam Chowder that i served at Oregon and Oregon State football tailgaters. 80 quarts will be served and completely eaten by the end of the game. It's your bacon that is the secret ingredient!!!

Not since our local, family owned meat market closed several years ago have I had such great smoked bacon. I just received it yesterday and I couldn't wait to try it. From the moment I opened the package and smelled that wonderful aroma until I put the last bite in my mouth I knew I had finally found a fantastic pound of bacon.
